I’ve been volunteering with the Poppy Jasper Film Festival for the past two years. I remember my first time stepping into the Granada as a volunteer – it was a whole new side that I never had seen before. I’ve been to the theater once before with my daughters back in 2001, but they were too young to remember. Last Christmas, my daughters were hired to run the movie equipment upstairs. What a memory that will be. You should have seen how messy it was upstairs. My daughter Emily – the wonderful organizer that she is, took it upon herself to dust the entire upstairs while the movies were playing.
This tour is a fun way for everyone in Morgan Hill to experience the Granada – just as it was left when it closed its doors at the start of last decade.
